Jerry Curtis Branch was born July 8, 1964 in Wasco, CA to parents James and Annie Branch. He has lived here in Kern County his entire life. Jerry attended schools in Shafter and graduated from Shafter High in 1982 before continuing his education with West Hills College in Coalinga. He worked as a truck driver for over 20 years. Jerry married the love of his life, Kelly (Henson) Branch, on July 18, 1997 in Bakersfield. His favorite hobbies included building various types of furniture, he was quite the wood worker; he also enjoyed taking fishing trips, especially those trips he could take with his daughter and grandson. Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Branch. He is survived by his wife, Kelly; and their children, Casey (Buck-a-Roo) Branch, Robin (Harpo) and husband Ryan Akery, Joshua (Junior) Branch and Alexandra (Punkie) Branch; his father, James Branch; siblings John Branch, James Branch, Joel Branch and wife Teri, and Stephanie Diane and husband Dennis Picken; grandchildren, Riley (Monster #1), Ryott (Monster #2) and Ronin (Ninor); numerous nieces and nephews; and of course his beloved pets, Zoe and Missy Branch. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 beginning at 11:00 at Shafter Memorial Park.
