Jeff went home to be with the Lord on December 18th, 2008 as the result of a farm accident. He was born June 12th, 1952 in Bakersfield, CA to John and Jean Ohanneson. He graduated from Shafter High School in 1970, where he excelled in tennis and wrestling. Jeff enjoyed a full life inspiring others with his joyous spirit, energy and enthusiasm for life. He loved working with his dad on their farm, traveling with his family, spending time with his children, Ty, Ali and her husband Robert, and especially being with Cheryl, his wife of 34 years. His passions included farming, golfing, playing cards, backpacking with his dad and friends in the High Sierras and helping people at each and every opportunity. Jeff is survived by his wife, Cheryl; son, Ty; daughter, Ali and husband Robert Garner; his parents, John and Jean Ohanneson; his sister, Janie and her husband Dan John and children, Tamara and husband Marco Alicea, and Kelly John; mother-in-law Delores McGill; and bother-in-law, Dennis Meyer and daughter Dalice and numerous other family and friends. Jeff is preceded in death by his brother, Joe Charles Ohanneson; his grandparents, Phil and Phyllis Ohanneson, and Charles and Atholl Burns; his fathers-in-law, Mac McGill, and Ivan Meyer. A Memorial Services will be held at Riverlakes Community Church, 4301 Calloway Drive on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008 at 11am, under the direction of Peters Funeral Home-Shafter.
