J.C. was born in Vian, Oklahoma in Sequoyah County on June 6, 1932 to parents Jessie James Crook and Bertha Lou (Bryant) Crook. He proudly served in the Navy and loved his Los Angeles Dodgers. J.C. Crook was a hard working man who worked for Wedel Farms in Wasco Ca and retired after working 4 decades. He is survived by his Daughters: Kimberly Branch and Husband Dickie Branch of Bakersfield, Ca, Teresa Ringer and Husband Jeff Ringer of Morro Bay, Ca. Grandchildren: Jacob Branch and his Wife Jesse Branch of Bakersfield, Ca, Jessica Branch from Bakersfield, Ca, Kelly Ringer of Morro Bay, Ca and Brandon Ringer of Morro Bay, Ca and one Great-Grandchild: Ryan Dwayne Branch of Bakersfield, Ca. Brother, Harold Crook of Vacaville, Ca; Sister, Lorene Isham of Delano, Ca. Sister-in-law, Betty Crook of Bakersfield, Ca, Brother-in-law, Sterling Smith and Wife Carol Smith of Bakersfield, Ca. and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Family Friends. He is preceded in death by his Beloved Wife of 55 years, Juanita Ann Crook (2009), Parents: Jesse and Bertha Crook, Siblings: Ulyess Crook, Willis Crook, Don Crook and Marggie Burnett. A graveside service was officiated by Pastor Wayne Montgomery on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park. A viewing was held Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 2-8pm at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco, Ca.
