Javier Sebastian-Nunez was born in Zapotiltic, Jalisco, Mexico, on May 29, 1953, to Francisco and Maria Sebastian. He came to Buttonwillow and married Esther Lopez on December 15, 1984. He was employed by Houchin Bros. Farming for the last 10 years. Javier was a "Chivas" fan and loved watching soccer, as a young man he also enjoyed playing soccer. His favorite pastime was making "Carnitas" in the back yard. Javier is survived by his wife, Esther; sons, Joán Javier and Juan Jose Sebastian all of Buttonwillow; brother, Jorge Bernabe and wife, Elizabeth; sisters, Maria De Jesus Sebastian and Ernestina Ramirez and husband, Adan all of Los Angeles and Veronica Nunez of Mexico; and many other loving family members. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Sunday, July 22, 2007, at 6pm, for Javier Sebastian-Nunez, age 54, of Buttonwillow, who passed away July 17, 2007, in Buttonwillow. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 23, 2007, at 10am, at St. Therese's Catholic Church. Father Pedro Umana of St. Therese's Catholic Church officiated at the service and interment followed at Shafter Memorial Park.
