Jason William Garcia was born in San Bernardino, CA on August 24, 1989 to parents Mary (Burris) Schrecengost and Andres (Andy) Garcia Jr. The family moved to Arvin when Jason was 3 years old. Jason was a fun loving, gentle person, who enjoyed life. He enjoyed playing with many different types of balls: soccer balls, volleyballs, baseballs, basketballs, squishy balls, tennis balls, gold balls, etc. Jason loved going on car rides especially to his favorite fast food restaurant- Burger King. Jason had a profound love for his group home, Endeavor in the West. Jason's death was unexpected and he has left many grieving family and friends who miss and love him dearly. Jason entered eternal life on May 9, 2023 in Bakersfield, CA.
Jason is survived by his sister, Ann Bell; mother, Mary Schrecengost; father, Andres Garcia Jr.; brother, Russell Burris and wife Veronica Burris; nephew, Raul Burris.
Jason is missed by his group home staff, Alma Rivas, Sabrina Maldonado, Loui Gonzalez, Victor Torres, Hector Duarte; and endeavors: Martha Rivera, Tannia Montes, Jessica Zobala, Stephanie Sanchez, Teri Porter, Blanca Arteaga, Daisy Diaz, Victoria Rivera, Ana Vidales, Jaswinderk, Harject K., Marquzes Williams, Guadalupe Paz, Carlos Tenorio, Regina Mendez, Brenda Ceballos, Ivette Ceballos, Mario Alvarez, Richard Sikes, Danny Esparza, Josylin Nombrano.
