JANICE MARGARET RUSSELL November 18, 1929 - April 23, 2007 Janice Margaret Russell was born November 18, 1929 in Wrightsville, Arkansas to John and Georgia (Brooks) McDonald. She came to California in 1942, and on October 12, 1963, Married Bill Russell in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jan a one of a kind lady who loved cooking and always made sure, whoever visited her, never left her house hungry. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She was considered everyone's mom or grandma. She worked for many years at the Skyway House and Westchester Bowl and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. The family would like to thank Optimal Hospice for their support. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bill Russell, son, Michael Job and wife, Nila of Wasco, California; daughter, Barbara Martin of Bakersfield; two brothers, Doug McDonald of Bakersfield, California and Keith McDonald of New Mexico; One sister; Jessie Parsley of Missouri; and six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service under the direction of Peters Funeral Home was held at Wasco Memorial Park on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 2:00. A visitation was held at Peters Funeral Home Chapel on April 25, 2007, from 2-8PM.
