James Arnold Sharp was born on January 11, 1949 to Ruby and James Alvin Sharp in Florence, Arizona. He passed away on August 28, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. James is a Vietnam Veteran. James was awarded a Purple Heart for his service to our country as a United States Marine. James was very proud to serve his country. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper Fi. Always Faithful. He loved baseball, in particular, the Anaheim Angels. James was a long time employee of MP Environmental. He enjoyed his work and being friends with his coworkers. He lived in Shafter, Ca for the past 57 years. James was married nearly 48 years to his loving and devoted wife, Linda and raised 3 children. James is survived by his wife Linda, and daughter Audrea Barnes and husband Jerry, their sons Peyton and Tyson, his daughter Jamie Bargen and husband Rodger, their sons Hayden and Lucas, his son James Matthew Sharp and wife Lynnette, their sons Hunter and Andrew along with his only granddaughter, Charlotte. James has another grandbaby on the way that he was so excited to meet. He is survived by his bonus daughter, Crisey Fernandez and his bonus grandchildren Jonathan, Jimmie, Angela and CJ. He is also survived by his brothers, Leslie, John, and Richard Sharp, along with his sisters Debra Foster, Karen Patterson and Kimberly Navaratte. James is preceded in death by his parents Ruby and James Alvin Sharp, and sister Virginia Sharp. Services will be Held Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10am at the Bakersfield National Cemetery located at 30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd. Arvin, Ca 93203. A reception will follow at the Shafter Veterans Hall located at 309 California Ave. Shafter, Ca 93263 We would like to thank our family and friends for the outpouring love, support and prayers during this difficult time.
