Obituary

James Richard Swann born on June 22nd 1938 in Maywood, CA. The second of two children to Laura and Paul Swann. Jim and his sister Pat got to see alot of the world because his father was a pipe line welder and traveled to follow his work. Death was April 27th 2013 in Wasco, CA surrounded by family and loved ones. Jim graduated in 1956 from Corona High School and soon after joined the United States Air Force becoming a jet mechanic. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, step father Bill, and step daughter Laurie. He was survived by his wife Vonda of 15 years, children Debbie, Jimmie, Chris, Angela, Tammi, Ricky and wife Bree, Krystal and husband Tyler. Step sons Randy, Cliff, and Jeff Hart. Many grandchildren and great grand children. Jim was very involved in the Wasco Elks Lodge #2419 being a member for over 19 years. He was exalted ruler four times, served as Trustee, and was district chairman of the Veterans of the United States. Jim loved the mountains, lakes, boating, and most of all fishing. His favorite place to fish was Pioche, Nevada where he spent alot of time. He recently joined the Cowboy Fast Draw Association of California and was a member of "The Deputies" in Upland, Ca. His alias name was "Hit and Miss" which he did quite often and had alot of fun with it. Jim was loved by his wife Vonda who gave him enough love to last an eternity along with his children and grandchildren. His passing has put a hole in all our hearts. Viewing will be Tuesday April 30th from 4-8PM, and Services on Wednesday, May 1st at 10AM at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco.
