On February 9, 2021 at 4:30 in the afternoon, James Ronald McNew took his last breath with his loving wife of 45 years M. Allynn McNew, by his side. His two loving sons Neil Allen McNew and Jerald Richard McNew were close by to comfort their mom in their grief. Also grieving Jim's loss is Amiee and his seven grandchildren, Jayden, Brogan, Brayden, Rylen, Brenton, Reagan and Baylee. He was proud of his service to his country in Vietnam with the US Marines. He appreciated the opportunity he received to be included in an Honor Flight in 2019. He loved computers, his dog Cooper and his HAM radio. As KA6QLQ, he made friends here and around the world. A memorial service will be held at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter at 11am on Friday, February 26, 2021. Burial will be at the Bakersfield National Cemetery.
