James Edwin Coffman, Jr. was born September 8, 1956 in Mesilla, New Mexico to James and Mildred (McFarland) Coffman, Sr. He worked for Lamont School District for 14 years. Eddie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Eddie was preceded in death by his dad, Ed in 1995. Eddie is survived by his wife of 30 years, Donna of Bakersfield; sons, James Edwin Coffman, III, of Oklahoma, Christopher D. Coffman and Craig A. Coffman; daughter, Courtney Coffman, all of Bakersfield; mother, Joan Webb and husband Murray of Kansas; brother, Wayne Coffman and wife Kris; sisters, Patricia Sneath and husband Dennis of Oklahoma, Robin Coffman of Bakersfield, and Starla Atkins and husband Todd of Posey; grandsons, Matthew James and Andrew; and many loving nieces, nephews and other family members. Services will be conducted on Thurs, June 12, at 9am in the Outdoor Chapel at South Kern Cemetery, 15543 S. Vineland, Arvin for James E. Eddie Coffman, Jr. age 51, of Bakersfield who passed away June 6, in Bakersfield. He will be eulogized by Jan Zabala and interment will follow. Visitation will be held at Arvin Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11 from 3pm – 8pm.
