In her lifetime Jay was a teacher, professional photographer, coached in umpired basketball and softball, also played basketball and softball for Cal State L.A, and volunteered as a counselor for the alliance against battered women in Bakersfield. There wasn't anything that she couldn't master. She was a talented and gifted person with a fantastic sense of humor. She could make anybody laugh. Jay also loved dogs. She would come home with a stray dog and wanted to keep it. She ended up with three dogs, who she considered her four legged kids. Jadene (Jay) Sachs entered into eternal peace on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Shafter, Ca. She in preceded in death by her father, Melvin Sachs; mother, Dorothy Payne; and brother, Jerry Sachs. She leaves behind her step-mother Mary Sachs; brothers, John Sachs, Michael Sachs; sisters, Judy Galvez, Jolene Bailey, Deborah Matheney, and her best friend ever cousin Marquita Molina; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 2pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, Ca.
