Jacobo "Jacobito" Almanza was born April 24, 1917 in Salvatierra, Mexico to Jesus and Magdalena (Martinez) Almanza. He lived in Mexico until 1969, when he moved to California to be with his family. Jacobo married Maria Trinidad in Puerta Del Monte. Jacobo was a devoted Catholic. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and spending time with his family. Jacobo is survived by his family, Maria Luz Lule and husband Agustin, Dolores Lule and husband Jose, Martha Munoz and husband Jesus, Antonio Almanza and wife Yolanda, Rosa Maria Alonzo and husband Ernesto and Guillermina Soto and husband Jose; 22 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Maria who passed away in 1974. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 6 PM at St. John's Catholic Church in Wasco under the direction of Peters Funeral Home. Jacobo Almanza will be buried in Mexico.
