Jacob was born in Bakersfield, CA and lived in Shafter most of his life. He enjoyed sports and was a dodger and New Orleans Saints fan. He loved to garden and be outdoors. He enjoyed watching the old Andy Griffith shows and John Wayne movies. Jacob is survived by his wife Laura of 18 years, children Ryan and Cindy Rodriguez. Sons Gilbert Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez and Anthony Rodriguez. Daughters Jennifer Rodriguez and Kathryn Perez. Eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Brothers Beto, Lionel and Johnny. Sisters Emma, Amanda, Sarah and Lollie. Half-sisters Carolina, Audelia and Olivia. Half-brother Rudy. He is preceded in death by his son Jacob Rodriguez, Jr., parents Estalfo and Veva Rodriguez, sister Marina Pimentel, brothers Willie and Sam Rodriguez. We would like to thank the Valley Bible Fellowship Bakersfield hospital visitation team who visited Jacob numerous times in the hospital and showed him love and compassion. Visitation will be held Friday May 4, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home, 844 E. Lerdo Hwy., Shafter, CA. Memorial service following from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. No gravesite services
