Jacob Rodriguez Jr. was born in Bakersfield California on July 27, 1972 to Esperanza (Rosas) and Jacob Rodriguez Sr. Although diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 13, he was a man of hope and endurance. He touched many people with his smile and the care he had in his heart. He enjoyed all sports and was a true Pittsburg Steeler and Laker fan. Jacob loved having his nephews and nieces around, always wanted to hear their voices and stories they shared with him, he was the best uncle. Jacob loved going for rides, anytime there was an opportunity for one, he and Esperanza would grab a soda and go on driving trips. He took the opportunity to spend much quality time with his family, they watched videos shared past time stories. He had a big heart he shared with many. Jacob is survived by his wonderful mother who cared for him at all times, Esperanza Rosas; brothers, Gilbert Joseph, Anthony Paul and Robert Lee Rodriguez who were his best friends. The family would like to give special thanks to everyone who helped Jacob thru his rough times, DaVida Dialysis for their care and attention given to Jacob, all the friends and family with their prayers, contributions, support and time given. Please keep Jacob's family in your prayers and Jacobs smile with you. God bless everyone who attended his funeral, it was confirmation he was loved by many and will be missed by all. Chapel services were held for Jacob Rodriguez, Jr., age 36 who passed away in Bakersfield, Friday June 5, 2009 with Pastor Eppie Bernal and Pastor Joe Canales giving words of comfort.
