Jack Calori, a Yucca Valley resident for 30 years, died on Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Hi Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree. He Was a native Californian. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy and was a World War II Vet. He worked for 26 years in law enforcement, before retiring from the Long Beach Police Dept. in 1975. Jack was a legendary Hot Rodder known for the "Calori Roadster" and the "Calori Coupe". He is survived by his wife Theresa, daughter Jan, son in law Bill, grandchildren Tiffany, Kyle and Kristen, Four Great-Grandchildren, and long time Yucca Valley friend Randy Willis. He is preceded in death by his son John in Sept,1975. Funeral services will be held at Wiefels Chapel in Yucca Valley. 57285 Yucca Trail, Yucca Valley, CA 92284; on Friday, December 5,2008 at 10:30am. A Private internment will be at Riverside National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces or to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. Jack lived his life well; he will be remembered and missed by many.
