Jacinto Ruiz Gomez was born August 17, 1942 in Donna, TX, to parents Siriaco and Maria Gomez. He married the love of his life, Concepcion (Maldonado) Gomez, in Edinburg, TX, on March 23, 1961. The couple moved to California in 1962, and settled in Shafter, CA, in 1965. Jacinto worked as a truck driver and in farming during his career; he was employed over the years by American Transfer, Gerald Ford Harvesting and Wilson Ag. Jacinto was preceded in death by his son, Jacinto "Jay" Gomez Jr., and a grandson, Jumbo Gomez. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Concepcion Gomez; their children, Hilda & Humberto Gonzalez, Rene Gomez, Annette & Gabriel Espinoza, Israel Gomez, Xavier & Diana Gomez, Denise & Gus Rodriguez, Marinela Ramirez, and Erica & Joe Elizondo; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren with one on the way.
