Israel Joe Perez Jr. was born January 31, 1951 in Mission, Texas to Felipe Cortez Garcia and Juanita Garza Garcia. Israel grew up in a big family, he had 8 brothers and one sister. His family came to the Kern County Area in 1963, were they settled in Arvin, Ca. Israel went to the local schools and was an Arvin High graduate. After he graduated from Arvin High, he started his own business. For more than 40 years, he owned and operated his own concrete business. He was adored by his family and friends. If you needed a laugh, he was the one to put a smile on your face. On July 22, 2015 Israel Joe Perez passed away quietly surrounded by his family, friends, and all that loved him. Israel is survived by his sons, Philip, Gabriel, and Austin; daughter, Sharla Rael; brothers, Eddie Garcia, Raul Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Victor Garcia, Oscar Garcia, Luis Garcia and Gerardo Garcia; sister, Beatrice Garcia; 9 beautiful grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother John Perez. There will be a closed casket visitation at the Arvin Funeral Home Chapel Sunday July 26, 2015 from 2-6pm. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be on Tuesday July 28, 2015 at 10 am at St Thomas Church in Arvin.
