IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Isidro "Sid"
Espinoza
August 10, 1957 – December 7, 2024
Isidro "Sid" Lopez Espinoza, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, at the age of 67 in Bakersfield, California. Born on August 10, 1957 in Bozeman, Montana, Sid was a cherished member of the Espinoza family and a vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew him.
Although Sid was born in Montana, as a young child his family made their permanent home in Shafter, CA. He was the second eldest of nine children who came from a hard working family. Sid was a hard worker and was known for his love of music, infectious laughter and jokes, and enjoyed spending time at the beach and camping with friends.
Sid is survived by his children, Sara Espinoza Hyatt and fiancé Shaun, Kyle Espinoza and his wife Elisabeth, and Ryan Espinoza and his wife Krista. Sid's spirit will live on through his adored grandchildren, Tyler, Rilee, Siena, and Kopelynn Espinoza.
Sid leaves behind a legacy of love through his siblings including Jose Espinoza and his wife Lorie, Rosa Gonzales, Antonio Espinoza, Herminia Encinas and her husband Isaac, Osvaldo Espinoza and his wife Teresa, Gabriel Espinoza and his wife Annette, and Iraida Delgado and her husband Frank. Each of them will cherish the memories and the bond they shared with their brother. Sid was also an uncle and great uncle to numerous children. He was preceded in death by his brother Ramiro Espinoza and his parents, Jose and Evarista Espinoza.
Sid found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was often found listening to his favorite tunes, and his love for music was as profound as his love for the great outdoors.
Sid spent many years working in the wholesale plumbing supply business. Not only was he respected in this industry, he was also very good at his job. Through his professional efforts, he also made many lifelong friends.
As we say goodbye to Sid, we celebrate his life. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A private viewing as well as a public service to honor Sid's life will be held by his family, where they will share stories, music, and memories that Sid brought into their lives.
Though he has left this earthly realm, the legacy of Isidro "Sid" Lopez Espinoza will endure in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his unique spirit. One of Sid's most used sayings was, "God willing and the creek don't rise."
On behalf of the entire Espinoza family, thank you for the prayers, positive thoughts, and support through this difficult time.
