Heaven has a new angel. On January 26, 2013, Irene Bracamonte Gutierrez went home to be with the Lord. Irene was born March 12, 1946 in Arizona to Francisco and Loretta Gutierrez, she was one of 10 children. She came to Wasco, California where she met and married Rafael Gutierrez in September of 1967 and was the mother of four children. Irene was a hard worker, working may years of her life in farm labor. She was a loving, beautiful person who would do anything for her family. She loved spending time with her family and she really loved playing bingo and going to the casinos. Family was everything to her. She is well-loved and will be missed by everyone who loved and knew her. May she rest in eternal peace. Surviving family include her husband of 46 years, Rafael Gutierrez; sons, Rafael Gutierrez and wife Martha, Tony Gutierrez and fiancé Ofelia and Magdaleno Gutierrez; daughter, Irene and husband Fabian Adams, all of Wasco; sisters, Carmen Roman of Idaho and Juanita Lopez of Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Joel Carbajal, Tony Gutierrez, Jr., Francisco Gutierrez, Katrinna Gutierrez and Xzavier Adams; 1 great-grandson, Abraham Flores, Jr. and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings. Holy Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 31 at 6:30pm for Irene Braccamonte Gutierrez, age 66, of Wasco who passed away January 26, 2013 in Wasco. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 1 at 10am at St. John's Church. Fr. John Fluetsch will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm.
