Inez Hernandez was born on December 30, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas to Gloria (Garcia) and Joseph Lozano. Inez came to California from Lordsburg, New Mexico in 1957 and worked in agriculture for 20 years before retiring. Inez enjoyed crocheting, cooking, listening to music and dancing. Her favorite musician was Freddie Fender and she often sang his songs to family members. Inez Hernandez is preceded in death by her son, Carlos Partida; daughter, Christina Roberts; and husband, Margarito Hernandez. She is survived by her son, Joseph Arthur Hernandez; daughters, Margaret Villanueva and Sylvia Ramos, all of Bakersfield; sister, Marcella Trujillo of San Bernardino; 16 grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 7pm at Peters Funeral Home for Inez Hernandez, age 75, of Wasco, who passed away on December 4, 2011 in Delano. Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10am at St. John's Church, Wasco. Father John Fluetsch will officiate and inurnment will be private. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Peters Funeral Home from 2pm to 8pm.
