Imelda Arreola January 12, 1955 – February 19, 2009 Imelda Arreola was born January 12, 1955 in Durango, Mexico to Agueda Acosta. She married Roberto Arreola in 1975 and they moved to Wasco to work and raise their family. Imelda worked for Paramount Farms and Bidart Brothers in the packing sheds for 22 years. Imelda enjoyed sewing and made clothes for herself and her family. Imelda enjoyed working in the garden, tending to her plants and she also raised birds. She loved a clean house and was a good mother, keeping the children in line. Her family enjoyed her cooking, Posole being their favorite dish. Imelda is survived by her husband of 33 years, Roberto; children, Cesar Arreola and wife Marisa, Celene Cantu and husband Jesus, all of Wasco and Xochitl Nieto and husband Ishmael of Delano; brothers, Fermin and Felipe; sister, Florlinda, all of Mexico; 7 grandchildren; and many other family members. Her mother preceded her in death. Holy Rosary will be recited Monday, February 23, 2009 at 6pm at St. John's Church. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 24 at 10am and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitations will be held Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 8pm and Monday from 2pm to 5pm, followed by the Rosary. Please sign Imelda's guest book at www.GoldenValleyMemorialCare.com.
