Hilario (Lalo) Dabalos, Jr, was born in Rocksprings, Texas, on June 18, 1950. He enjoyed a career in Texas as a cook, and once he came to Kern County he worked in construction, until he became disable in 2003. Lalo enjoyed music and dancing. Lalo was preceded in death by his mother, Luisa Gonzalez; son, Steven Dabalos; sister, Manuela Martinez; stepfather, Juan Gonzalez. He is survived by his sisters, Maggie Dabalos of Shafter, and Lupe Rangel of Midland, Texas; brother, Marcelino Dabalos of Midland, Texas; father, Hilario Dabalos, of Del Rio, Texas; his children, Monica Morgan, Hilario Dabalos, III, and Esperanza Dabalos all of Granbury, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; and lots of nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at Peters Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at 3:30pm, for Hilario (Lalo) Dabalos, Jr., age 56, of Shafter, who passed away February 14, 2007, in Bakersfield.
