Hervey Carl Storrs passed away at his residence August 21, 2009. He was born on September 7, 1937 to Helen (Keller) and James Storrs. He lived in Kern County his entire life and was a mechanic for 33 years. He and Catherine Webster Storrs were married for 34 years before her death in August of 2000. Together they had a son and made a happy home for themselves in Shafter for 24 years. Hervey and Catherine enjoyed Saturday drives when she lived and he missed her very much afterwards. He kept himself busy at home and with crossword puzzles and other hobbies. Hervey was a great dad, he was very inspirational and a best friend to his son, Steven. He will be immensely missed by all. Hervey was preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine Storrs. He is survived by his lifetime best friend and son, Steven and his wife Thelma Storrs of Shafter. In accordance to his family's wishes there were no services for Hervey Carl Storrs , age 71, who passed away in Shafter. The family had a visitation for him Monday August 21, 2009 at Peters Funeral Home. Pastor Ted Baze of Shafter Seventh Day Adventist Church was present to give words of comfort and support for the family.
