Obituary

Henry Aguilera Cortinas was born July 24, 1963 in Wasco, California one of four children born to Elvira (Aguilera) and Mario Rendon Cortinas. Henry grew up in Wasco and Yuba City and attended Wasco High School. He worked in various construction jobs for Hydrotech Irrigation and Farm Pump until his health failed. His hobbies were fishing and flying kites. He was at peace flying his kites "whenever there was air". His nieces and nephews would always chase the kites when they fell. He loved to fish in the back canals or at the coast. One fishing trip to the coast with his best friend he was pulled off the pier when he refused to let go of "the big one"; it turned out to be a shark. Henry enjoyed spending time with his family and would get in the car to go places with them any chance he got. Henry was preceded in death by his father, Mario in 1976; his grandparents, Magdaleno and Guadalupe Aguilera and Damian and Lydia Arredondo. He is survived by his mother, Elvira Cortinas; sons, Isaac, Adrian, Nicholas and Nathan; daughters, Cecilia and Cynthia; brother, Tony Cortinas; and sisters, Guadalupe Cortinas and Maria Lydia Cortinas Hernandez; grandchildren, Jonathon, Brandon, Jayden and Joslynn.
