Helen McCarthy was born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada on June 10, 1924. Helen was known as "Peggy" to many who knew her. She was a wonderful grandmother who loved all her grandchildren. Peggy was happiest when her grandchildren were around to keep her company. Adventurous can be used to describe Peggy, who had planned on going skydiving with grandson, Michael, just weeks before her passing. She enjoyed a trip to Hawaii 10 years ago, where she snorkeled among tropical marine life. There was never a dull moment when Peggy was around to make every one laugh and enjoy life. Peggy lived in Montana and Oregon for many years because she treasured the outdoors and drinking her coffee outside every morning. Peggy was 91 years old when she passed away on October 5, 2015. She will be missed by her beloved family. Peggy is survived by her sons, Steven (Connie) McCarthy, Michael (Charlynn) McCarthy; daughter, Patricia Lynn McCarthy; 7 grandchilden, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Montana.
