Marie passed away comfortably after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Stringtown, Oklahoma and grew up in the Shafter/Wasco area. She was married to her late husband, Jim Duvall, for 63 years and they had 2 Daughters, Sandra Cope and Cindy Duvall- Shiftlett (deceased).

Growing up, Marie worked for Edison School District as the head cafeteria cook, and then later teamed up with her husband to run Stan's Car Wash. After closing Stan's Car Wash, they relocated and transformed the business into Stan's Detail Center. They finally retired in their late 70s.

Unfortunately, due to health issues Marie and Jim did not get to travel as much as they wanted in their retirement years. Marie loved cooking, crossword puzzles, gardening, and her family. She was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.

She leaves behind a daughter, Sandra Cope (John), two Grandchildren Brandon Cope (Alison), and Breanne Cope (Tara), and a great Granddaughter, Kinsley.
