Hardin "Dallas" Ridge was raised in Arkansas and St. Louis, Mo. He received his education through third grade and lived in Arkansas, Shafter, CA and moved to Idaho in Dec. of 2008 to be close to his daughters Angie and Becky. Ridge married in November 1955 to Mickey Carter in Las Vegas. Ridge moved to Shafter in 19436 after being honorably discharged from the Navy. Ridge was self-employed and owned R and H Auto Wrecking and Towing since 1963 and retired from towing around 1988. Ridge enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, fishing, playing poker, going to yard sales (and having them) and talking about his experiences in the Navy during World War II. He was preceeded in Death by his wife, Mickey on October 12, 2005, brothers and sisters. Ridge is survived by his daughters Angie Squires of Idaho, Becky Mayer of Montana, Jinnie Ridge of California and Cindy Clayton of Oklahoma; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Ridge passed away due to complications from a car accident. Graveside services will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home at Shafter Memorial Park on Saturday, January 10 at 2pm.
