Hannah R. Harbison was born November 8, 1926 in Lindsay, OK to L.O. "Jack" and Mittie Jordan and went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2013. Hannah was ten years old when her family moved to Wasco, CA where she became a lifelong resident. She graduated from Wasco High School in 1944. During the Christmas season of 1942 she met a young serviceman stationed at Minter Field named Harvey Harbison. They fell in love and married June 19, 1943 and made their home in Wasco. They were blessed with three daughters Pamela, Priscilla and Patricia whom they loved dearly. Hannah was employed by the Wasco School District at the Cerebral Palsy and Carl F. Clemons schools. She was last employed by Sandoz Crop Production as a laboratory technician. For the past two school years, she volunteered in a 2nd grade class helping children with their reading. Hannah was always ready to travel; two of her favorite places were California's Central Coast and Mammoth Lakes. She enjoyed going to Hawaii and on cruises to Mexico and Alaska. Hannah was a vibrant, loving woman who never met a stranger in her life and was always ready to share her love of God with them. Hannah is survived by her daughters and their spouses Priscilla (Victor) Penner and Patricia (Chuck Boles) Harbison, her grandchildren and their spouses Jarrod (Leslie) Penner and Stephanie (TJ) Criner and two great-grandsons Luke Penner and Teegan Criner and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Harvey, her daughter and son-in-law Pamela and J.B. Patty and her great-grandson Cobyn Penner-Criner. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Wasco Memorial Park. A reception will be held afterwards at the First United Methodist Church of Wasco, corner of 7th and Birch.
