Gregorio Muñoz Jr., age 40, joined our father Jesus Christ in Heaven on June 23, 2014. Gregorio Muñoz was born January 25, 1974 in San Diego California to Maria Rayo Vasquez and Gregorio Muñoz Sr. He attended Ventura High School and completed most his senior year. On January 25, 2013 Gregorio Muñoz joined hands in marriage with Jessica Rountree (Muñoz). He lived in Bakersfield California and was a 20-year employee of Helmerich and Payne, working off the shore of Goleta California until becoming permanently disabled on January 3rd 2013. Gregorio Muñoz Jr. was a Christian man with a Catholic background. He believed in love, honor and respect for all people and easily looked beyond appearances to accept people as they were. The smile on his face could light a room on a cloudy day and he was able to keep that smile regardless of what came against him. He loved hunting, football, basketball, baseball, races and the great outdoors. His favorite place to be was the mountains, and home with his family. He loved his children and spent most his life providing for them regardless of what he missed out on to provide them a good life. Family was very important to some of which started out as co-workers and grew to be family. Gregorio Munoz Jr. is survived by his mother, Maria Rayo Vasquez; father, Gregorio Muñoz Sr.; wife, Jessica Muñoz; children, Anthony Muñoz, Alex Muñoz, Analise Muñoz, Emily Rountree, Gregorio Muñoz, III, and Alexia Guerro; siblings, Charlene Cruz, Rose Marie Lopez, Debra Mendoza, Michael Lanham, Leticia Vasquez, Donna Vasquez and Gloria Diaz. He was preceded in death by Susan Rountree and two unborn angels. He will be carried in the hearts of all his family, spouse's family and friends. Services will be held at New Covenant Church, 800 Airport Dr., Bakersfield, 93308 at 9am on July 7th 2014, with cremation to follow. Beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, and Friend.
