Glenn M Harper - A viewing will be held at noon and a service at 1 p..m. July 13 in Evangelical Free Church at 6804 Mohawk Trail in Yucca Valley for Glenn M Harper. A native of Port Orchard, Wash., a 65-year resident of California and a 57-year resident of Yucca Valley, Mr. Harper died July 9, 2008, at Hi-Desert Medical Center of heart failure. He was 86 years old. He was born to Arthur Harper and Sally Mae (Murphy) Harper on Sept. 3, 1921. Mr. Harper was a grocery store meat cutter for 38 years before he retired. He was a charter member of the Twentynine Palms Elks club and a volunteer cook at the Yucca Valley Elks club. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Neda Harper of Yucca Valley; daughter Kathy Sheldon of Redding; sons Dennis Harper of Portland, Ore., David Harper of Cottonwood and Harry Harper of Shasta Lake; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pastor Bill Wilcox of Evangelical Free Church will officiate at Mr. Harper's service. Interment will be at Joshua Tree Memorial Park.
