Glenn Dwight Cook Nov. 29, 1939 - Apr. 8, 2007. Glenn lived in Shafter most of his life. He was married to Jane Brooks, the love of his life for 39 years. His hobby was building intricately designed model cars and each one was completed with professionalism. Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Ethridge Cook and Velma Cook; and brother, James Cook. He is survived by his wife, Jane; sister, Patsy Harvey and husband, Dwight; nephew, Christopher Harvey; niece, Lynn Kopp; niece, Stacy Shofner and husband, Randy; sister-in-law, Lily Cook; sisters-in-law, Doris Alverez and Sherry Brooks; brothers-in-law, Richard and Alan Brooks. Glenn will be very much missed by his wife and family, and by his little dog, Blackie, that he doted on. A graveside funeral service under the direction of Peters Funeral Home was held at Shafter Memorial Park on Thursday, April 12, 2007, at 1pm, for Glenn Dwight Cook, age 67, of Shafter, who passed away April 8, 2007, in Shafter. Pastor Steve Seymour of "Jesus Saves" Pentecostal Church of God officiated at the service. A visitation was held at Peters Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, from 2pm to 8pm.
