Gilberto was born March 4, 1952 in Edinburg, Texas to Gilberto Carrillo, Sr. and Vicenta Pesina. He passed away November 18, 2014 in Bakersfield, California surrounded by his children and loved ones. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Rosa and parents, Gilberto Sr. and Vicenta. Gilberto is survived by his son Gilbert Carrillo and wife, Debra, son, Cesar Carrillo and wife, Amy and daughter, Maritza Castro and husband, Brian. He is also survived by his brothers, Ruben, Roberto, Manuel, Mario and Leopolodo Carrillo and sisters, Maria, Ayde, Carolina, Olga, Dora and Andrea Carrillo, numerous nieces and nephews and his special four legged companions, Chiva, Chucho, and Princess. Gilberto married Rosa in Lamont, California in 1972. He was a career welder for Grimmway Farms for 30 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and yard and gardening work. He also loved his Los Angeles Dodgers, boxing and playing the lottery (scratchers and Fantasy 5). Gilberto especially loved his dogs. He took pride in his family and loved unconditionally. We will miss his wisdom, laughter and sense of humor. Visitation is Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with a 6:30 pm Rosary at Arvin Funeral Home Chapel.
