Mr. Gilbert Bennett Carter, a 2 year resident of Yucca Valley, California died on January 23, 2009 at home from generalized arteriosclerosis. He was 95 years old. He was born on January 14, 1914 to Joseph and Annie Bennett Carter in Louisville, Miss. The viewing was held at Wiefels Yucca Valley Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Interment was at Riverside National Cemetery with a graveside service on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at 10:01 a.m. with Pastor Bob Alexander of First Christian Church of Yucca Valley officiating.
