IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Geraldine
Miller
July 25, 1932 – October 29, 2012
Geraldine (Moore) Miller was born in Bowleg, Oklahoma, to Matt Moore and Addie Northcutt. She was born on July 25, 1932 and passed away on October 29, 2012 with close family members by her side. After graduating from Shafter High School, Gerry married Henry Miller on April 23, 1955 in Shafter, California. During their marriage they were blessed with two children, John Allen Miller of Wasco, CA and Gaylia Miller-Harris of Bakersfield, CA and were guardians of Tracy Frost who resides in Arroyo Grande, CA. In her younger years, Gerry was an avid hockey and softball player. Gerry was happiest bringing family and friends together for the holidays. She welcomed everyone and anyone into her life with open arms, a warm heart and a home-cooked meal. Her special and most important holiday was Christmas. During the Christmas season you could always find Gerry preparing her delicious prime rib dinner, baking desserts, and making candy and her famous pomegranate jelly. Gerry was always especially proud of her beautiful Christmas tree, snow village and festive décor. Gerry's warm heart often led her to donate her time and culinary talent to many charitable organizations. Gerry had a fire in her soul that will be missed by all. She is survived by her son John (Jamie), her daughter Gaylia Miller-Harris (Dennis), granddaughters Jessica Miller and Hannah Rockwell. She also had two great-grandsons Austin and Henry. She is also survived by her siblings, Verl Moore, Doris Patrick and Rita McCarthy along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Miller, her parents Matt Moore and Addie Northcott and six siblings, brothers, Boyd, Lenvil, Merl, Arnold Moore and sisters Lucille and Mary Haberstich. Thank you to her dear friends Lorraine Laughlin, Earlene Borjon and Karen Carey for all their help and support. Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Wasco, with Monsignor Stephen Frost officiating. Interment to follow at Wasco Memorial Cemetery. After all services are concluded there will be a reception at St. John's Hall.
