Georgia Kay Patty was born November 4, 1952 in Oildale, California to Helen (Hunsucker) and David Thorne. Kay grew up and attended Wasco schools. She met Hosey Houston Patty and they spent many years together and were married on September 23, 1998. Houston passed away shortly after that on October 7, 1998. Kay spent most of her time as a homemaker, but had worked as a bus driver for Wasco Dial-A-Ride and with seniors as a caregiver. She also worked as a cashier at Loves on Highway 46 and Highway 5 at Lost Hills. She enjoyed fishing at Lake Isabella or where ever the fish were biting. Kay spent many years volunteering as a coach for Wasco Little League. Kay was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Pruitt; niece Kimberly; nephew, Edward "Bubby" Pruitt & wife Teresa; her companion, Gregory Perryman; and daughter in love, Shirley Hinslea. A graveside service will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home on Saturday, April 17, at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park for Georgia Kay Patty, age, 57, of Wasco who passed away April 12, 2010 in Bakersfield.
