Obituary

George died peacefully at home after a lengthy illness with his loving wife Brenda and family at his bedside. He was proceded in death by first wife, Goldie; mother Lydia Sharp; brother, Bert; and mother-in-law, Evelyn Rayburn. George will be remembered as the most caring, gentle, easy going, positive person who was loved by anyone who met him. Brenda and the family were truly blessed. George loved Jesus and his family; he was a God-loving person. George was born in San Antonio, Texas where his sister Martha still resides. George loved his country and spent 30 years in the Navy serving our country. George had many talents, one being a master craftsman building beautiful cabinets. After serving in the Navy he owned a cabinet shop in San Diego where he had been stationed in the Navy. Moving from San Diego to Bakersfield he went to work for the county building beautiful cabinets, desks and woodwork. There wasn't anything George couldn't make and he loved doing it. George leaves behind his wife Brenda; 3 children, Amy, Pamela, Jacqueline; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Martha from San Antonio; brother-in-law, Vernon; and sister-in-law Janas who were always there for him and spent many hours visiting him. Our Special thanks go to Pro-care Hospice; thank you Pauline, Cynthia, Bertha, Marshall and Dr. Memon, you became part of our family. You were always there for us. God Bless. George loved the ocean and his wishes are to have his ashes spread at sea. A Memorial was Held in Morro Bay.
