Gary Mitchell Pardo, a 53-year resident of California and one-year resident of Palm Springs, died Nov. 21, 2011, at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He was 53 years old. The son of Edward Pardo and Lucy Moncado, he was born March 3, 1958, in Culver City. Mr. Pardo enjoyed being a carpenter for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Pardo, and his stepfather, William S. Cook. He is survived by mother Lucy Cook of Morongo Valley, sisters Cindy Stacklie of Cathedral City, Jeanine Schulz of Paramount, Denise Bezinet of Morongo Valley and Roxanne Brennan of Morongo Valley, and brother Stan Albert Pardo of Sacramento. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Nov. 25 at Wiefels and Son Funeral Chapel in Yucca Valley.
