Gabino Avendaño Ortiz was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico on March 28, 1933 to Francisco Ortiz & Maria Del Los Angeles Avendaño. He married Candie Martinez 62 years ago and raised three children. Gabino cared deeply for his family and was a good husband, father and loving grandfather who never missed a chance to make his family laugh and care for his grandchildren. He was always dressed for the occasion with his western attire and his cowboy boots. Gabino loved animals and worked as a cattle farmer for 46 years and had a close connection to his older grandsons who worked with him on the cattle ranch. He is survived by his wife, Candie; daughter, Angelina and son in law, Enrique Salazar; grandchildren Anthanica Ortiz, Candie Ortiz, Isabel Ortiz, Danielle Ortiz, Daenette Archuletta, Anthony Urbina, Becky Urbina, Veronica Sanchez, Jamie Urbina, Enrique Salazar, Paul Salazar, Chris Salazar, Laurissa Salazar and Gabino Salazar; and 32 great grandchildren. Brothers Armando Ortiz, Ramon, Ortiz, Miguel Avendano, and sisters Ofelia Fernandez and Yolanda Ortiz. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Danny Ortiz and daughter Sophie Ortiz. The Mass of the Resurrection was officiated by Father Lucas Azpericueta at St. Therese's Catholic Church on Tuesday August 12, 2014 at 10am. A visitation was held on Monday August 11, 2014 at 2pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home Chapel. Gabino preocupaba mucho por su familia y fue un buen esposo, padre y lindo abuelo que nunca perdió una oportunidad detraer risa a su familia y cuidar a sus nietos. Siempre iba vestido para la ocasión con su ropa y botas de vaquero. Gabino trabajó como un ganadero durante 46 años y tenía una conexión cercana a sus nietos mayores que trabajaron con él en su rancho. Le sobreviven su esposa, Candie; hija, Angelina yerno, Enrique Salazar; sus nietos Anthanica Ortiz, Candie Ortiz, Isabel Ortiz, Danielle Ortiz, Daenette Archuletta, Anthony Urbina, Becky Urbina, Veronica Sanchez, Jamie Urbina, Enrique Salazar, Paul Salazar, Chris Salazar, Laurissa Salazar y Gabino Salazar; y 32 bisnietos. Sus hermanos, Armando Ortiz, Ramon Ortiz, Miguel Avendano, Y hermanas Ofelia Fernandez y Yolanda Ortiz. Él está precedido en la muerte de su hijo Danny Ortiz y su hija Sophie Ortiz.
