Frank Bejarano Meraz was born January 30, 1917 in Beaumont, California to Francisco and Victoriana Meraz. He grew up in the San Bernardino area and later moved to Delano and Pond. The last seven years Frank has lived in Wasco with his daughter. Frank answered the call to serve his country during World War II serving in the Army he was honorably discharged in 1946. Frank and Amparo Gallegos were married February 7, 1945. Amparo preceded him in death in 1986 and he was also preceded in death by his son, Lupe and 11 siblings. Frank is survived by 4 children, Ester Meraz Culley, Frank Meraz, Irene Gallegos and Danny Meraz; sisters, Jessie and Beatrice, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home on October 30, at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park. Fr. John of St. John's Church, Wasco will officiate and interment will follow.
