Frank Lee Escobedo, Jr. was born in Torrington, Wyoming, to Frank and Rose Escobedo, on August 2, 1958. The family came to Shafter when Frank was in his early teens. He attended both Shafter and Wasco High. He married Eva Trujillo on October 14, 1984, in Shafter, Ca. Frank worked as a warehouse distribution supervisor for several years, but at the time of his death he was employed as a truck driver. Frank also became a Minister earning his Associate's Degree from Calvary Christian International; he answered the Lord's call and enjoyed ministering in Kern County. Frank loved to spend time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing black jack and was jokingly nick-named the "Casino King". Frank believed in being prepared and would always spend time planning for the future, making sure everything would go as smoothly as possible. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank, Sr.; brother, John; and niece, Faith Francis Escobedo. He is survived by his mother, Rose of Nebraska; wife, Eva of Shafter; sons, Frank Escobedo, III and Rocky Lee Escobedo; daughter, Deborah Escobedo; 4 grandchildren, Asia, Julissa, Caleb and Cenisa; brothers, Jesse, Armando, and Raul; sisters, Linda, Lupe (Guera), Jeanette, Ruby and Francis; and many other loving family members. A graveside funeral service under the direction of Peters Funeral Home will held at Shafter Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at 10am, for Frank Lee Escobedo, Jr., age 49, of Shafter, who passed away October 31, 2007, in Bakersfield. Pastor Victor Perez of Believers in Jesus of Bakersfield will officiate the service and interment will follow.
