Floyd George Pierce was born in Texas on June 5, 1939 to Charles and Minnie Pierce. He grew up in a large family having 6 brothers and sisters. At an early age, Floyd and his family moved to Bakersfield, California where he graduated from Bakersfield High School. He worked in agricultural as a nailing machine operator. Floyd met and married the love of his life Ethel Armstrong in 1967. Floyd loved to go drag racing, look at the wild flowers up in the hills, as well as visiting his buddies. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and exploring new things and places. Floyd also enjoyed fixing up and riding motorcycles. On March 28, 2016, he passed away. A graveside service was held on April 1, 2016 at 11am at Arvin Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Pierce; sister, Maxine Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.
