Flora Dominguez was born in Chupicuaro, Gto. Mexico to Gregorio and Elvira (Guerrero) Perea. Flora married Juan Dominguez on January 1, 1965 in Acambaro, Gto. Mexico. She worked in farm labor for over forty years, working with many different crops. Flora loved to travel to her home town Chupicuaro, and kept in close touch with her family and friends who live there. Flora was a very spiritual woman, praying constantly. She was a hard working woman and a natural homemaker. She enjoyed keeping a clean home, as well as, a beautiful garden; anyone who came to visit her was given a home-cooked meal. Flora was such a wonderful cook, and her time in the kitchen was always appreciated. Flora is preceded in death by her father, Gregorio Perea; her husband, Juan Dominguez; her daughter, Maria Segura; and a brother, Manuel Perea, who died at a very young age. She is survived by her mother, Elvira Guerrero; sons, Irineo Dominguez and wife Maria, and Jonny Dominguez; daughters, Jackie Dominguez and Anabel Dominguez; brothers, Isaias Perea, Elias Perea and Ramon Perea; sisters, Estela Perez, Elena Torres and Carlota Dominguez; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A Visitation for Flora, age 71, of Shafter, will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 2-6pm at Peters Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at St. Therese's Catholic Church at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am on Friday, December 10, 2010 at St. Therese's Catholic Church, Father Pedro Umana will officiate.
