Evelyn Rainey Blankenship passed away August 5, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. A Yucca Valley resident for over 30 years, she was born in Lindsey, California , July 26, 1922. She was a warm and caring homemaker devoted to her family. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Purkiss, of Wellington, Nevada, her son, Alford, Sandy, Rainey of Pine, Grove, California, daughter Anna Descher of Boulder City, Nevada. and her sister Velda Lepker Weinert of Bullhead, City, Arizona.
