Eva Estavillo was born on June 11, 1944, to Alex and Cedra Estavillo in Shafter. She attended the local schools and eventually moved to San Jose. While in San Jose Eva was employed as a school bus driver until her health failed. Eva enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos. She also enjoyed traveling and going south of the border into Ensenada and Tijuana, she loved visiting and listening to the ocean. Eva was preceded in by her parents, Alex (1973), Cedra (Sept. 2000); brother, Mark (May 2001); and sister, Vera Garcia (Jan. 2000). She is survived by her brothers, Joe Estavillo and wife, Blanca of San Jose, Rudy Estavillo and wife, Toni of Wasco, William Estavillo of San Jose, and Robert Estavillo and wife, Jessica of Stockton; sister, Dolores Estavillo of San Jose; and a number of nieces and nephews and aunts, uncles, other family members and friends. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at Peters Funeral Home on Monday, November 12, 2007, at 6pm, for Eva Estavillo, age 63, of San Jose, who passed away November 8, 2007, in San Jose. A Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at 1pm. Father Pedro Umana of St. Therese's Catholic Church officiated the service and interment followed at Shafter Memorial Park.
