Eva Maria Dixon was born April 14, 1929 in Paducah, Kentucky to Bert and Clara (Faughen) Ogborn. Eva moved to Holtville, California and later settled in Wasco in 1964. She served her family as a homemaker and was faithful to the Pentecostal Church of God in McFarland until her health failed. Eva loved her family and collecting pictures of them. On every visit she would request pictures. Eva enjoyed reading the Bible and the comfort it gave her. Eva is survived by her daughters, Laurie Jean of Arizona, JoAnn and Diane of Texas and Clara of Wasco; sons, Russell, Jr. of Hemit, Billy and Donald of Texas and Leonard of Delano; sisters, Jeannetta of Porterville, Margaret and Stella of Wasco and Betty of Williams; brothers, Henry of Utah, Wesley of Arizona, Johnny of Wasco and Clyde of Marysville; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eva was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Standridge, Cecil Horn and Jack Dixon; her parents, sisters, Martha Helen Ogborn and Ella Mae Wilkinson and brother Bert Ogborn, Jr. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 16 at 10am at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco for Eva Marie Dixon, age 78, of Wasco who passed away October 10, in Shafter. Bryan Reaves, Eva's nephew, will officiate the service and interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Monday, October 15, from 2pm to 8pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco.
