Eunice 'Unie' Kaupp Waklee Northrop Employee, 85 Eunice "Unie" Kaupp Waklee, born in Inglewood Nov. 16, 1924, died of natural causes in her sleep May 28, 2010. She was 85 years old. She is survived by her husband of 37 years and love of her life, Henry "Hank" Waklee; her son, Brian Olson; her daughters, Kris Olson Amerine and Shelley Waklee; her grandchildren, Bob Amerine, Rick Amerine, Ashley Olson, Derek Olson, Steven Gerbac and Andrew Gerbac; and her brother, Steven Kaupp. A resident of Yucca Valley for 32 years, she was an avid local bingo player. She worked for Northrop Corporation for 38 years before her retirement. Prior to retirement, while working for Northrop in Saudi Arabia, Hank and Unie traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia. She loved traveling, camping and fishing, playing crossword puzzles and big family gatherings. One thing that she lived by and tried to pass on in the minds of all whom she loved was "You may only try it once but at least give it a try."
