was born Nov. 10, 1923 in Lubbok ,Texas to Gerome Tillman Crafton and Opal Jean Levida Ferrier. Etola was the eldest of three siblings, Virginia Newman (deceased) and Cecil Crafton, Fair Oaks, Ca. The Crafton family moved to Shafter in the 1930's during the Dust Bowl. Lee graduated from Richland Jr. High and Shafter High in 1942. Lee married Johnny Arnold Koehn (deceased) in 1943 during W.W ll and they were separated by war for 4 years. When he returned from the war they bought a ranch and farmed on Beech Ave., in Shafter. After Arnold's death in 1971 she remained on the ranch until 1983. She resided in Shafter until her hospitalization in July 2014. She has 2 children Anthony Koehn(Bakersfield) and Lesa Koehn Kabrich (Madisonville, Louisiana). She had 4 grandchildren Christan Koehn, (Bakersfield) Brian Koehn (Bakersfield) Richard Kabrich (Madisonville, La), and Lee Kabrich (Madisonville,La). Etola Lee also has 4 great-grandchildren; Wayne Kabrich, Emmaline Kabrich, Olivia Koehn and Luke Kabrich. Also many nieces and nephews. One of the happiest times was when she was serving her community: Woman's Club President in the 1960's; Rio Bravo Union School District PTA President; Grand Jury Member 3 years: 1992-1993, 1993-1994, & 1995-1996; and volunteered at the Kern County Superior Court. She was a mother figure to many, an accomplished artist, an avid reader, and novice pilot. She will be missed by her family and friends.
