Ethel Audra Noble January 23, 1919 – March 31, 2007 Ethel Audra (Cunningham) Noble was born January 23, 1919 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas to Lewis & Cleffie Inez (Taylor) Cunningham. Her father passed away when she was just an infant and her father William Alvis Lee raised her. She grew up in Paraguay and Truman Arkansas. She married Eugene William Noble in 1934 and they moved to California in 1942, first living in King City then settling in Wasco in 1947. Ethel worked at many of the potato sheds around Wasco and also for Champ Taylor, Little and Hanes, Superior Farms, Jackson & Perkins and Maple Leaf Farms. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Noble who passed away in 1989; her parents. She was the last one remaining of her generation. She is survived by 5 children, Eleanor Beasley & husband Tony of San Jose, Margaret Stevens & husband Larry of Casper, Wyoming, Oscar Noble of Wasco, Larry Noble & wife Darlene of Wasco, Ricky Noble & wife Sandy of Bakersfield; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A funeral service under the direction of Peters Funeral Home was held at Griffith Avenue Baptist Church, on Saturday, April 7th at 10am for Ethel Audra Noble, age 88, of Wasco who passed away March 31, in Wasco. Pastor Bill Lewis officiated the service and interment follow at Wasco Memorial Park. A visitation was held at Peters Funeral Home on Friday, April 6 from 2pm to 8pm.
