Obituary

Estella was born to Ramiro and Hortencia Espericueta in Edinburg, Texas. She came to California at the age of 2 and grew up in the small town of Shafter. Estella was one of 12 children, she was number eight. She loved her family very much and was never afraid to show it. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. People were her passion and she always put others first. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and wife. She was kind, compassionate, wise, and always cheered for the underdog. She was a hard-worker and a single mother who made a difference in her children's life. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and believed character mattered. Estella always had a positive attitude. She was an encourager who constantly saw life's blessings on a daily basis. She lived gracefully giving all glory and praise to God. She was a single parent for 20 years and her greatest accomplishment was raising her two children. She is survived by her husband, Marshall Rub, whom she married on May 2007; son, Gerard Loaiza; and daughter, Jerica Hawkins; and her granddaughter Juju. She is also survived by her mother, Hortencia Espericuta, sisters, Adela Pena, Clara Valdez, Elena Espinoza, Ismelda Martinez, Janie Olvera, Josie Soliz, Rachel Soliz, and Theresa Gonzalez; her brothers, Israel Espericueta and Ricardo Espericueta, numerous nieces, nephews, families, and friends. She will always be held with high regard and greatly missed. Her funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11am at the Shafter Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 17898 Poplar Ave. Shafter, CA 93263.
