Mom was born to Juan and Louisa Delgado on February 18, 1929 in San Diego, Texas. Seasonal work brought her to Soledad, California in 1947 where she met her husband Juan Arismendez. In 1948 they came to Kern County where they settled in Shafter, until mom went to be with the Lord, peacefully surrounded by her family. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ruben; sisters, Maria Fierro and Elodia Zurita; granddaughter, Sara Munoz; great grandson, Kayden Jones. She is survived by her brother, Roberto Delgado (Petra); daughters, Melba Ybarra (Raymond) Yolanda Nunez (Victor); sons Joe (Sally), John Emilio and Eloy; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The Mass of the Resurrection was officiated by Fr. Lucas Azpericueta at St. Therese's Catholic Church on Monday February 10, 2014 at 10am followed by internment at the Shafter Memorial Park. A visitation was held on Sunday February 11, 2014 at 2pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm.
